Hello, and welcome to Blitz's 1-99 Fletching Guide! If you are interested in getting 99 Fletching, [which if not, then there is not really any point in reading this] then you should definitely read on.

Fletching is a great skill. It's pretty easy compared to some skills, and every strung bow you fletch from maple shortbow up except for magic shortbow gives a decent profit, considering that you have bought the unstrung bow and the bowstring.

1-5

Bronze Arrows
If you have never fletched before and don't know how to fletch arrows, than here's how: First, get the type of arrowtip that the arrow is. [F.E. Bronze Arrow tips for Bronze Arrows] Then get arrow shafts and feathers. Use everything on each other in any order. Now you have arrows! You will need 298 bronze arrows to reach level 5.

5-10

Shortbows[u]
To make a shortbow[u], you need regular logs and a knife. Use the knife on the logs and select the "shortbow" option.
You will need 154 shortbows [u] to get to level 10.



10-20

Longbows[u]
Follow the same instructions but select the "longbow" option instead.
You will need 332 longbows [u] to get to level 20.



20-25

Oak Shortbows[u]
Follow the shortbow instructions but use oak logs instead.
You will need 205 oak shortbows [u] to get to level 25.



25-35

Oak Longbows[u]
Follow the longbow instrutions but use oak logs instead.
You will need 583 oak longbows [u] to get to level 35



35-40

Willow Shortbows[u]
Follow the shortbow instructions but use willow logs instead.
You will need 445 willow shortbows [u] to get to level 40.



40-50

Willow Longbows[u]
Follow the longbow instructions but use willow logs instead.
You will need 1,545 willow longbows [u] to get to level 50.



50-55

Maple Shortbows
If you do not know how to string bows, then read these Strung Bow Instructions: Use a Bow String on a unstrung bow.
You will need 1,307 maple shortbows to get to level 55.


55-65

Maple Longbows
Follow the strung bow instructions but use maple longbows [u] instead.
You will need 4,835 maple longbows to get to level 65.



65-70

Yew Shortbows
Follow the strung bow instructions but use yew shortbows [u] instead.
You will need 4,270 yew shortbows to get to level 70.



70-80

Yew Longbows
Follow the strung bow instructions but use yew longbows [u] instead.
You will need 16,646 yew longbows to get to level 80



80-85

Magic Shortbows
Follow the strung bow instructions but use magic shortbows [u] instead.
You will need 15,277 magic shortbows to get to level 85.
By the way, doing Magic Shortbows from 80 to 85 is very expensive, and would cost you 8,325,965 gold at todays prices. If you want, you might want to actually make some money by doing Yew Longbows instead.



85-99

Magic Longbows
This is it! The final stretch! You will need to be a very dedicated player to get through this, but you will be rewarded well. Follow the strung bow instructions but use magic longbows [u] instead.
You will need 106,840 magic longbows to get to level 99.*
*An alternative is to fletch yew longbows [u] to 99.
You will need 130,345 yew longbows [u] to get to level 99.

I'm working on pictures guys but i can't figure out how to get the screen shot onto the page.

Probably should write a guide on how to do this, as I've been asked for help before...

Step 1: Get picture.
Step 2: Upload them to a place like photobucket or imageshack.
Step 3: Get the URL for the pictue from photobucket and put it between the image BB code tags.

Yeah this is an excellent guide, but there are no pictures. I'm considering to use this guide for 99.

Priest, maybe you should make that guide for uploading pictures, for some reason I can't get the photo onto the page, it just says, "image".
Do you know what I'm doing wrong?

Use this code, replacing "image URL" with the URL of your image (http://www and all)



You weren't getting your images from another website besides this one, where you? (except photobucket) some site block their images from use on other websites...

ARG! For some reason I can't get the picture on the page! The closest I have gotten was getting a code to click on that brings you to the picture at Photobucket.com. ARG!

Right click it, then select properties; you should see a URL that's something like http://i0006.photobucket.com/albums/0006/...might have something different from i0006 though....

Woah, Nice guide, although when I got 99 fletching I did yew longbows to 99. Alot of people may prefere this as it is less costly then magic longbows. You do not have to make too many more, although you could also do yew longbows (u) for slightly faster xp with no stringing envolved .

You may want to add that doing magics will cause you to lose a lot of money and that to loose the least amount of money you should do yew longbows.

thanks, i did add that, but actually, doing magic longbows from 85 to 99 makes about 1 million gold.

I am surely going to base my leveling strategy along this lines. I am new to the forum and look forward to learn more here.
