Out of those who have 99 magic or know a good way to get it, would you care to explain your methods? I am currently 54 magic and I plan to high alch to 99 once I have reached 55. I am, unfortunately, a NON-member.

high alchemy is the best method even if you're a non-member. I alched 55-94 myself and it's not that bad. Configure your keyboard so that the number '5' would force a left click from your mouse, then move your mouse on the high alchemy spell and then just keep clicking '5' to make your mouse click on the alch spell without ever actually touching your mouse..(this is not against the rules by the way)

I think Superheating is still the best way to train Magic when you're foccused, since you also get Smithing xp .
Alching at one spot is a total waste of time, since you can also alch while training other skills!
For example, I train fishing at barbarian village and I alch a gold necklace after every fish I catch.
I still get the same Fishing xp/h as without alching, but also 50K+ magic xp. So the Magic xp is sort of "bonus" xp.
It's also possible to alch while training melee (with a scimi), Mining, Woodcutting and so on

Well, when you're able to use the spell that allows you to fill water vials, you can do that on lunar magic. It's profit, and approximately the same xp as high alching.
