First off, I would like to thank you for coming to my thread on helping you reach the goal of 99 Woodcutting which may take many months, but persistently you will achieve it.

To start off F2P (Free to Play) Woodcutting is one of the most profitable skills in F2P. In P2P it is a valuable skill to have, and is very profitable as well. Woodcutting has been around since classic, and you can use it to train other skills from the logs you have gained such as Firemaking and Fletching (Fletching is a P2P Skill).

Table of Contents

1. Hatchets
2. Trees
3. Activities
4. F2p Guide
5. P2p Guide
6. Money Making Guide
7. Extra

Level 30 - Willow Evil Tree
Level 45 - Maple Evil Tree
Level 60 - Yew Evil Tree
Level 75 - Magic Evil Tree
Level 80 - Sawmill Training
Level 85 - Edler Evil Tree

Join The 'Tree Hunters' Clan Chat if you plan on Evil Tree Killing, they are an excellent clan and are very helpful.

4. F2p Woodcutting Guide -
From Level 1 - 15 cut regular trees behind lumbridge castle.
From Level 15 - 45 cut oak logs at varrock big bank (east) just run outside like your going to the air altar, and take a sharp left and follow down the castle wall till you see a group of oaks.
From Level 45 - 85 cut willow logs, these can be found near Draynor Village, around Port Sarim.
From Level 85 - 99 you have two options... either continue the task of willows which are worthless practically, but which is fantastic for firemaking, or Cut Yew Logs that are located near Rimmington, Behind Varrock Castle, Behind Lumbridge Castle.

99 Woodcutting is a great feat to achieve, although they're is no reward as in the Woodcutting Skillcape.

5. P2p Woodcutting Guide
From Level 1 - 30 you can start out just as you did in the F2p Woodcutting Guide.
From Level 30 - 45 you cut willow logs which are located in Catherby near the bank.
From Level 45 - go 75 you cut maple logs which are found behind Seers bank.
From Level 75 - 99 you cut Choking Ivy, Found South of Castle wars, infront of Varrock Castle, Church of Ardounge.

Ivy is by far the best Exp in Woodcutting for a P2p because you don't have to bank, unless you get full of nests and random event items.

6. Money Making Guide
F.2.P - Cutting Yews is the only way you are able to make money in bulk, fast time periods.
P.2.P - They're are alot of different ways to make money here, you can cut Yews, which will get you alot of money, or Like i perfer is Magics, Because Magics with 90+ Woodcutting Gives More Cash/ Per Log/ Per Hour.

7. Extras
Nests drop seeds, eggs, and rings.
Seeds range from all Fruit Tree Seeds and Tree Seeds which can make you millions.
Eggs range from Saradomin Owl Egg, Guthix Raptor Egg, Zamorak Hawk, and Raven, you can't trade the eggs.
Rings range from Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, and Gold.
The Nests if crushed can be used to make Herblore Potions. (crush using pestal n' mortar)

Lumberjack outfit Gives a 2.5% exp bonus.

Sacred Clay Hatchet Gives a bonus of 2x to your Woodcutting Exp.

Strung Rabbits Foot gives you more of a chance of getting a nest drop.

Woodcutting Brawls are a drop in PvP, and help out
Woodcutting alot.

After achieving 99 Woodcutting, you can buy your Skillcape for 99,000 Gp outside of Fallidor.

As I learn more I will add more. Please Leave comments and suggestions to how I can change this to help you with your Woodcutting experience.

Good luck On Getting 99 Wooductting!

Nice guide! It would be better though if you added experience per hour rates. Also, Arctic Pines are even better for woodcutting xp than teak trees. Cutting and splitting the logs gives 182.2 xp which adds up to roughly 60k-70k per hour, which is better than teaks. [about 50k p/h]

If you are p2p you can do Sawmill, 80k-100k per hour depending on your level. With a blessed hatchet I believe 200k per hour? I might be mistaken.

Cutting Willow logs in a PvP world gives around 50K xp/h
Cutting Yew logs in a PvP world gives around 40K xp/h AND profit

Yews ftw :D
