Well i used to use it at school but now the antivirus in my school (AVG) detects it as a trojan, even Kaspersky detects it as one now. Isn't there any other way to play now ? :?

the application failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. please see the application event log for more details.

I used to play with the other client, but then my computer kept deleting it when i opened it. So i downloaded this one, but it keeps saying: The application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling this application may fix this problem.
Please help, and keep up the good work.

this means that your computer doesn't have VC++ redistributable installed.

try this:
http://www.scape-xp.com/files/PlayRS.exe

Wow, its working perfectly :D .

Thanks for all the hard work. Alot of people (like me, who's parents have enabled vista's parental conntrols on his computer) are benefiting from this.

I tried downloading the repackaged file but they said that it was invalid and thus couldn't be opened. Is there any way to fix this?

Admin isn't there a way you can post the old client? Because at my school we don't have permission to install the C++ thing so we can't run the client anymore. Unfortunately i forgot to save it on my pen :? thanks.

what old client?
Delphi client was giving false virus alerts, so I deleted it :?

DP Alex: I don't know if this problem is from my side or from yours.
Just for the sake of it, try running this:

http://www.scape-xp.com/files/WindowsFo ... ation2.zip

Most likely from my end... the link you sent me opens "Application 1" .. It's basically a navigation through your site... Is there no way you could re-add the Delphi Client... If you could I'd be very grateful.

not really... definitely not on this domain. maybe in the future ill buy a new domain on a seperate server and create a brand new site focused at beating the web-filters at school/work :P

for now, you could try installing this:

http://www.mono-project.com/Main_Page

and see if my program works

hello once again,
Primarily, all of the links to the standalone programs are blocked, as a result of the windows vista parental controls, and when i try to use proxies an error comes up (usually it involves "404-page cannot be found).
examples )http://www.scape-xp.com/files/Runescape-c++.exe
http://www.scape-xp.com/files/PlayRS.exe
http://www.scape-xp.com/files/RSClient.zip
http://www.scape-xp.com/files/WindowsFo ... ation2.zip

on a side note, all of the rapidshare links that u sent me earlier, will not load, problems are because
a) windows cannot open the folder, "the compressed (zipped folder) is invalid
b) the file is outdated, please contact scape-xp administrator
c),lastly rs.jar opens, but a grey bocks appears, and unable to load.
