Is it possible we could get an option that would allow us to change our username for the forums?

I'm not saying there has to be anything saying "last known as...", but I just thought it'd be nice to change our username on forums. (whether it effected our login name or not is up to you, if you decide to implement the idea).

I asked Scape about that once, and I realize if you change your display name, your stats stop working, but the system is integrated so the highscores work using your forum username, and we have yet to find an effective way to make username/display name changes possible. Problem is, the math gets messed up if people change between different characters.

Hm... would it work if we were to change our forum and RS username, if we kept them as the same name, would that work? For example, My user for RS is SheerDefense, and if I wanted to change it on RS, it would change on here to the same thing.

I allowed username changing, but it won't let you change it, as the system to prevent changing to non-runescape display names isn't quite working right; I'll have it working A.S.A.P.

Alright, you can now change your username, given it is a valid display name, for the same character as your previous one (ie: if you change your RS display name, you need to change your username here too)

User control panel (next to messages on top navigation) -> Account settings. Remember, it must match your PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED runescape account.

I went to that, and it showed my username, but it won't let me edit it.

It will only let you change it if it's the same username as a runescape account; IE: if you changed your display name to Cow_Killer12 you could change it to that; but you cant make it cow_killer13.

I changed my RS user today to "SheerDefence" (Got tired of people telling me it should be a "c" and not a "s"), and I can't change it to that... it just shows the name in big black bold print.

I fixed it now...and it should be defense...in America anyway...(defence is British)

I do lol, but apparently people accepted the british way of spelling "defense" over the american way... so I just changed it for the sake of not having to stop in the middle of varrock with some guy following me just to hear "dude you spelt "defence" wrong". It gets rather annoying after 5+ people lol...
