Is it possible you could create a chat room for this website without slowing it down a ton, and still have the chat room be effective?

Well, it depends; if you mean a shoutbox; maybe...that was what was here before the forums...but, I think the forums do just as well...I'll look into it.

haha, it's beastin'. only problem is a little bit of the right part of the chat box is cut off for me... but I have a small computer screen, so it might be that. o.O

It's not the resolution, it's probably the browser...do you use internet explorer?

yes, I do use internet explorer. And it's not only the chat box, but all those little columns to the right of the screen have part of it cut off. (for example, in the top 5 active users, it doesn't show the post count, but only half of the first number).

It's simple, Internet Explorer doesn't support styles like other browsers...it dislikes my use off the %...I'll work on a patch of some sort... (All browsers except Internet Explorer don't have this problem...)

Alright, I patched it to show a horizontal scroll bar to show the rest of the right column's boxes in internet explorer, but it refuses to show the scroll bar on the shout box; that's all it cuts off though.
Note: the horizontal scroll bar only shows up in IE.
